Please help us welcome our Veterans to their new building, the Sand Springs Veterans Center, located in the former Senior Citizens' Center at 205 N. McKinley Ave. This building will house the new Veterans Alliance Corps of Sand Springs, which now consists of four organizations: Vets That Matter, American Legion Billie A. Hall Post 17, American Legion Post 17 Auxillary, and Witkop Foundation.

Please join us for an Open House from 2-6 P.M. The official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, conducted by the Chamber of Commerce, will begin at 4:00 P.M.

Vets That Matter are bringing back Sand Springs' famous Chillin & Grillin BBQ Festival as part of the Grand Opening! We expect a great turnout from the community as all proceeds will benefit the Veterans. Please consider getting involved as a way to thank our Veterans! Here are some ways to join in:

*Donate items found on the Veterans' list of needed items posted on their FaceBook Page, "Sand Springs Veterans Center."

*Donate door prizes for the raffle.

*Donate meat for the Chillin & Grillin BBQ festival.

*Set up a booth for your organization to cook meat.

*Set up a booth for your organization with giveaways. (Such as drinks, snacks, promo items, information, face-painting, etc.)

*Set up a booth for your organization to conduct a bake sale with proceeds to benefit the Veterans or sell individual sides, drinks, or desserts to benefit the Veterans.

*No sales at this event unless all net profits are donated to the Veteran Center!
